The Jones Frontier Split is the ultimate splitboard for playful riders looking for a directional freeride shape without a stiff flex. The Frontier features a floaty, freeride nose for pow crushing and crud busting matched with a freestyle tail that’s perfect for popping pillows and stomping cliff drops. On icy skin tracks or firm descents, the Directional Camber profile and Inner/Outer Traction Tech 2.0 edges provide confident stability and edge grip. The Jones Frontier Split offers high performance without skimping on materials as it’s built with a Sintered 8000 base, an Eco-plastic topsheet and a Classic V-Core that is specially profiled for added pop between the feet. The Jones Frontier Split is also equipped with Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0, and new for 22/23, the Boltless Bridge that eliminates hardware in the base. Keep it classy with a Mountain graphic.

TECHNICAL SPECS
Directional – Directional shape is the classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float in powder. A softer nose allows for a smoother roll into your carve, while a stiffer waist and tail provides better control through the turn and a stronger finish.

Sintered 8000 Base – Super durable base material made from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and carbon. This base is easy to repair, easy to wax and super fast.

3D Base Contour – This base shaping technology reduces drag, increases glide, flow, and float. This means higher speeds, improved fluidity during carves, and effortless float through powder, crud, or crusty snow. The 1.0 version offering 2mm of spoon bevel in the nose and tail. Spoon bevel starts just after the rocker point. 

Traction Tech 2.0 Edges – This edge technology adds multiple contact points throughout the board’s edge keeping your board locked into the snow during fast carves and icy/hardpack conditions.

Inner Edge Traction Tech – Improves splitboard edge grip on ascent with three side cut “bumps” on each side of your bindings to keep you locked in on icy skin tracks no matter which way you are traversing.

Progressive Sidecut – The sidecut radius is incrementally increased from the center as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
